What do you do when your husband cheats on you with your best friend? I never thought this would ever happen to anyone I knew. Actually, I never thought this kind of thing happened to anyone. My best friend Gina, myself and Alice were childhood best friends. We did everything together. We even all went to the same college. When Gina met Roger on campus, it was love at first sight. They seemed like the perfect match and had everything in common.

I could sense that Alice had a lot of envy towards Roger and Gina for being the perfect couple. I couldn't understand Alice's barbed comments directed at Gina behind her back. But then again, I always had a deep mistrust for Alice. I ignored her catty comments, but always made a mental note to keep her at arm's length distance. On Valentine's Day, Roger proposed to Gina at the most exclusive restaurant in New York City. Gina was elated. Roger's parents were well-to-do, and he bought her an engagement ring to the tune of $40,000.00. Needless to say, Alice was beside herself with jealousy. She didn't bother to conceal her jealousy either. Roger and Gina were married 2 years later.......

One weekend, the four of us booked a weekend trip at a Club Getaway sort of deal, and after a night of partying and drinking, myself, Gina, Roger and Alice decided to call it a night. In the middle of the night Gina and I heard noises. We got out of bed and listened closely. It was Roger cheating on Gina with Alice. Gina burst open the door and had a stunned look on her face. I wanted to die. Needless to say, Alice lost a best friend, Roger lost his wife, Gina lost her heart, and I was stuck in the middle.

What do you do when your best friend sleeps with your husband? I know this is hindsight, but, I believe people tell us who they are when we first meet them. I never trusted Alice. To me, Alice always came across as competitive, manipulative and jealous, even as children. Gina always brushed off Alice's jealous comments about other women and flirting with other people's boyfriends. I didn't. To me, I knew that if Alice could be so blatant about flirting with someone else's boyfriend, she was capable of doing anything - even to her own friends. She proved me right.

As for Roger, he showed us (Alice included) who he was way before they got married. Roger was extremely handsome and charismatic. Lots of women flirted with him and he gladly reciprocated - even in front of Gina. I always told Gina that his behavior was not only disrespectful, but insensitive and hurtful. Gina, as always, brushed it off as him "just being himself". Well, I guess you could say that Gina was right. Roger was being "himself" and Alice was "being herself." It's too bad Gina wouldn't believe what they were telling her through their behaviors.

The moral of the story? People tell you who they are within the first few minutes of meeting them. Had Gina paid close attention to Alice's behavior and Roger's behavior instead of trivializing their behaviors, she would have been spared the heartbreak, hurt, and humiliation.

Information compiled from an online dating service explains that many male singles choose dating older women over younger women. Access to such information can be found on any online dating service that contains male heterosexual members. The Australian online dating service that helped compile this article shared some interesting results based on its male members profiles. Our article also gives females some food for thought into the minds of many of today's male singles. Sorry girls, we are not offering open ended secrets into the how and why of how men think ( Ill bet you wish we could though ), instead an emerging trend that is evolving in the style of lady many guys are seeking.

Our findings were based on 2000 male profiles. Our study was based on men between 18-45 years of age. The profiles we used were for men who were searching out a long term or serious romance. Our results do not indicate male singles whose profiles indicated they were only looking for casual sex or who were into serial dating. Statistics for men who wanted short term relationships vary from the statistics for males looking long term love......

Over 60% of the profiles we researched were low income earners and indicated that they would prefer to meet a female long term partner who is up to 10 years older. This same group of men suggested in their profiles that they would like to meet an older women who is financially secure and they would be willing to let their cougar take the leading role in a relationship if there was financial stability. Visitors to free online dating and singles services are also common in this demographic of male singles. The profiles we used in our findings found that financial security was the main priority for many. Free online dating and chat services were considered a logical avenue for finding singles given that there are no subscriptions. The men used in our study often concluded that the way to find financial stability and love could be rolled up into one package by pursuing ladies who are financially successful which often meant someone older and experienced.

Interestingly, nearly half of this same group of male singles had little or no female companionship in their younger years for different reasons ie: Did not have a mother or sister/s who were available to maintain or influence their upbringing, and subconsciously looked for this in later life by way of a more mature and nurturing type romantic partner. Male singles in this group were also found to have a submissive nature. They were content to be given orders by their female partner and to have the less dominate role in the relationship.

Whilst we have no access to statistics to substantiate how much this trend has evolved over the last 20 years a theory which is evident is that the progression of women's equality now givens women more choice and freedom that men have always had. Whilst historically women have played a submissive role in relationships, many males are keen to take up this role.

Comparing the other 40% of male singles in our group who are on higher incomes, half of these profiles indicated that they were interested in a long term romance with an older women. This group of men felt more secure than their smaller income counterparts as their high salaries provided security for them.

Not surprisingly, out of the entire group of male singles who were interested in finding older women, 70% of this group indicated a more experienced sexual partner was also a deciding factor in choosing an older women.

The main conclusion that resulted from this research was that the tide now seems to be turning in the singles and dating arena for certain groups. Many female singles are in control of their future and are no longer counting on men to show them the way.

With special events like Valentine's Day coming and going each year, I am reminded how difficult it can be to retain your spirit of who you are when you're a Christian single.

It just sometimes feels like it would be easier to mold yourself into whatever your dating partners want, and then you can get on with living happily ever after.

Become what other people want you to be, date non Christians, etc.

I was recently reminded of this when I met up with a friend for coffee. As energetic, bubby, positive, social, million-miles an hour type of Christian girl, she was telling me about her new
boyfriend. They had moved in together, he didn't like to socialize, he was quiet and reserved, and all they did was watch TV......

They didn't even put up a Christmas tree or lights this past holiday season, because he thought it was all a waste of time. This from my friend who usually wears a Santa hat for the
entire month of December.

As we chatted, she kept justifying all of the things that they obviously didn't have in common. I then noticed her usually dancing eyes had lost their shine.

How sad, I thought. Why had she given up on her spirit?

During my many years of single life, I attended a workshop where one of the exercises was to write done all of the things that we were looking for in a partner. But in order to do that,
we first had to write down all of the things that defined us as people.

This prompted an amazing series of Soul searching questions.

1. What did I believe in?

2. What role did God play in my life?

3. What were my values?

4. What was important to me?

5. On career, did I work to live, or live to work?

6. What did I do for fun?

7. What hobbies did I have?

8. What offended me?

9. What did I consider to be right and wrong, moral and immoral, ethical and unethical?

10. What were my politics?

11. What were my dreams?

12. What goals did I have?

13. What about my family and the desire for more kids?

14. What charities and causes did I support?

By defining what I wanted in another person, I was first clarifying and refining my own self image and my own spirit.

I developed a vision of my Christian singles partner, based on my own definition of what my spirit was (as opposed to the other way around).

I became more and more committed to sustaining my spirit while searching for a partner. As it turned out, when my spirit was challenged by some of the people I dated (if they weren't
Christian or if we clashed on any of the answers to the questions above), I had the confidence and inner conviction to politely say good-bye and move onto the next person.

It still took me a long time to find the right person (or rather, she found me). I still had to suffer through a few more Valentine's Days, which always reminded me of my singleness. Yet, I came to realize that it had never been more important to know what I stood for.

You too can do the same. Answer those questions above and understand what you stand for.

Then you can continue your search for like-minded people. The Internet and website personals speeds that whole process up for you, letting you refine your search by specific age ranges, kids or not, divorced or not, white, black, location, income level, career path, values, etc.

Your spirit will truly sing when you start getting to know like-minded people.

I made the decision a few years ago that I needed to get the area of my life 'handled' called 'dealing with women'. So I made a decision and a commitment to myself and my best friend that I would do whatever it took to learn and 'figure this out'.

Some background: The girlfriends that I had in the past were mostly from luck now that I reflect on it. They were there, and I felt lucky to have them as my girlfriend at the time.

But I never knew how to approach women I didn't know, and I could sit in a bar for three hours making eye contact with a woman and never have the nerve to go talk to her. Right now I'm just turning 30, and I'm about 5'10" and 160 pounds. I think I'm reasonably good looking, but I've never been the kind of guy that women just walk up and approach. (I say this to give you a frame of reference in relationship to the comments I make relating to looks, etc.) I've made myself more attractive by paying attention, learning, and using what works......

When I made the decision to get this part of my life handled, I decided that instead of trying to start with an angle (working at a strip club, becoming famous for something, etc.) that I would like to learn in a way that gave me power to act with just my personality and presentation. In other words, I wanted to make this part of who I was rather than a 'trick'.

I have a rule of thumb in life that I use... it takes about 2-4 years just to get 'good' at something. And I mean JUST TO GET GOOD. Think martial arts, playing an instrument... anything.

Sure, you can have some success and fun while learning, but experience has shown me that to really 'get' something and to be able to use it in many contexts successfully, you need to apply yourself for 2-4 years.

THEN, I think it takes another 2-4 years to become a 'master' of whatever you're doing.

At the 10+ year level is usually where the Genius level really kicks in... My point here is to say that I've been applying myself for a few years now, and I am now at the point where I feel confident and in control around women. I encourage you to make this a long-term commitment rather than just trying to get an instant cure. It will be worth it in the long run.

If you're just plain lazy and want a shortcut, go ahead and try all of them. But you'll most likely find, like most others do, that massive success with this material takes practice, effort, and a commitment.

When we talk of sexuality we are not talking about explicit sex, either in word or deed. Rather we are referring to a gut feeling that bypasses the mind and body parts and stimulates all the senses.

Have you ever noticed the lack of self-consciousness and the confidence that someone really sexual exudes?

That's because real sexuality has nothing to do with thinking; it has to do with being-being alive, feeling connected to an inner core. When we are allied with our Inner Self we are turned on and when we are turned on, people are turned on to us......

In the classical literature of Kashmir Shaivism, kundalini is Divine energy, the snake that lies coiled at the base of the spine. Uncoiled, it moves up the spine, where it reunites at the top of the head with God, the Divine, and your own true Self.

As this energy is released it creates a vibration that is very powerful. This vibration is an emanation of the Inner Self and moves with strength and speed in the physical world. When we are in the presence of someone whose kundalini has been awakened, we pick up a different pulsation; there is something very attractive and engaging about this person.

Most of the time we have no idea intellectually what is going on-we just feel attracted. Initially, we may think the attraction is sexual, but that is just how we have previously interpreted wanting to be near someone. Now, all of our senses are stimulated, and we are awake, aware of a different energy that is both intoxicating and alluring.

This force captures us, and we are inexplicably drawn to the juicy feeling. We feel the need to move closer and closer because the energy is familiar; it may be the other person's but it is our energy too, Divine energy, the same in us all-and when we feel it, we know it. We cannot help but respond. With the other as a mirror, we are drawn in, never realizing we are turned on to our own vibration.

Feeling whole, we glow from the inside. This is what real sexuality is all about.

An anniversary is the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Anniversaries come knocking on our doors, asking us to count our gains and move on. Contrary to popular myth, it is not the time to ponder over your losses and bang your head worrying what went wrong. Most people review their losses and try to learn from the mistakes that they have committed; hardly do we come across someone who savored his achievements, patted himself on the back and told himself, "Well done! Keep it up!" It requires confidence and self-belief and that distinguishes a winner from the also-rans......

Anniversaries could be a birthday anniversary, a marriage anniversary, a death anniversary or the anniversary of any other day between the dates of birth and death. Sometimes the occasion is one of joy, sometimes of regret, sometimes of achievement, sometimes of mourning, sometimes of wonder and sometimes of bitterness. There may be occasions each year when you celebrate the anniversary cursing yourself for having caused it in the first place!

Though an occasion to celebrate, anniversaries can also be moments of reflection and evaluation. If it is a marriage anniversary, couples tend to look back and take note of what worked in their favor and what did not. Some irritating habit of the husband, like throwing a wet towel on the bed after a bath, may have driven the wife up the wall but looking back, that same quirky habit seems like the glue that has kept the channels of communication open between them. There are also happy moments which, on being brought to life in the landscape of the mind, drive away the polluted mist that may have settled down on the relationship.

Birthday anniversaries are not as ambivalent in appeal, unless it happens to be of a person who's serious and sensitive about life and the shadow of death running parallel to it. On a birthday anniversary you relive the day when you first got a bundle of joy in your arms. Subsequent birthdays remind you that the joy is still around for you, though the umbilical cord is losing its metaphorical attachment with increasing rapidity.

In addition to the two anniversaries which have grown to occupy dominant significance, there are many others which have paled away. Some are so insignificant that they do not find mention in anyone's almanac. However, the date may not remain with you each year; the experience has not been buried in the sands of time. Do you remember the day you first saw a railway engine? An airplane? Or the first trip to the market holding the little finger of your father? Or the first time you got wet in the rain? Or the first time you held a butterfly in your palm? These can never be a day of the past, though there is no anniversary to remind us of these days. Seriously there is so much that goes into defining successful relationships. Now I know I could just cover the usual. Honesty, love, communication blah blah blah ...

Yeh yeh I know that we need them .... I mean you have to be pretty slow to not realize that these are highly important things in ANY relationship.

But I'm going to go through some things that I think are SO important that a lot of people overlook. So you guys better be ready for it.

So lets just say for arguments sake that I'm talking about a LTR. For those of you that are not used to the lingo, that means Long Term Relationship.

I believe that there are 2 parts in attaining a successful relationship......

Part ONE - Before the relationship - It All Starts With You!

Get your own life: So this is a subject that I have covered over and over again. I'm always talking about loving yourself and living your own life. In order to attract an ideal partner into your life .. you really have to be that which you are seeking. I know it sounds soo profound doesn't it? I'm quite proud of myself, thanks for asking =)

But what I mean is that once you have established what it is that you want to see in your ideal partner then you have to BECOME the type of person that your ideal partner would have to date! Seems simple right? Well it is. So that means stop focusing on what is missing in your life and start focusing on living your life, enjoying it and making the most out of what you have got. It is only until you do this, and give LOVE to yourself first that you are then in the right emotional framework to get yourself into a healthy and stable relationship.

Get Over it: What do I mean here? Well I'm talking about the fact that there is probably some negative beliefs that you have internalized from your past relationships that may affect any future relationships. Meaning to say, its time to delve into them, uncover all your feelings and emotions, bring them out and deal with them. Its then time to replace any old beliefs with new and empowering ones. Its then time to replace old habits with new ones that serve you. Its time to clean that slate so you can make a fresh start.

Selection: A lot of people stuff it up here. They pick someone who they are simply just attracted to and yet have nothing in common with. Here's the thing. As much as I love talking about attraction and its magical affects on the opposite sex. Attraction without anything to back it up .. is useless for any potential long term relationship. No matter how hot you are or how attracted you are to someone, it ain't going anywhere if you have nothing in common with them.

Common Values: I really think that before you dive into a relationship that you know what you want. Like I'm not talking about a hardcore shopping list with 3 million things on it. But I am talking about sitting down and really thinking about the things that are important to YOU and therefore what you would also like to see in your potential partner. What I'm talking about is values. Like here is an extreme example. If you are a highly ambitious driven and focused person then you don't really want to be dating someone who's whole life ambition is to milk the government for all its got by being the first person to get the most payouts from unemployment benefits. You get the point.

Part TWO - During The Relationship

Honest Appreciation: OK so here is the thing. Even though this may sound really lame I have read " Women Are From Venus And Men Are From Mars" - Absolutely awesome book and I recommend that anyone who wants to have healthy relationships should read that book. The one thing that I did learn is that Men and Women have different ways in which they feel loved. They communicate in a different language.

Girls in order to feel loved need to be heard and validated. Meaning to say that when they have a terrible day they just need to talk about it, just it makes them feel so much better. Guys, we do not want solutions. Any of the solutions that you come up with we have already thought of. We just want you to listen to our stuff. N by doing that ... we will think that you are the sweetest and most caring boyfriend in the world. N hey who is complaining, its less work for you!

For the guys. Well apparently honest appreciation is really important. The number one thing that you want to feel is that you are capable men. This means that you can do things without our help, but would like that to be acknowledged at the end.

Understanding Of The Others Needs: Everyone has rules. Everyone has rules to tell them when its time to feel loved and unloved. This falls under communication in the sense that you have to be able to talk to your partner to know your partner so that you can help them get their needs met, while they help you get yours met too. Its all about communicating in the right language and having the trust that this person is going to sick by you thick and thin.

Quality Time: So here is the thing. You can have this great partner who is right for you in every single way. But if you hardly get to see him, then there is no POINT! When I say quality time, I'm saying that you actually need to set aside time, that is just YOU and HIM/HER time. No one else. You can do something that you enjoy doing together or whatever. We are all busy these days, life is not normal if you are not busy. But making the time out to spend with your partner is so important when it comes to having a successful relationship.

I'm not just talking about watching a movie together. But I mean taking some extra time out of your schedule and planning something together. Its also good to have like date night where you can take turns on who gets to think of the ideas. But the most important thing that you are setting aside time to spend with your partner, rather than just spending time with them when you get the chance.

Time Apart: Some of you may be thinking. Say what?! It sounds like I'm contradicting myself right? Well not really. Ever heard the saying give someone the gift of missing you? Well I'm kind of applying that theory here. Yeh its great spent quality time with someone. But see I mentioned the word QUALITY. There is no point being with your guy or girl 24/7. Because no matter how good they are ... you appreciate them more when you haven't seen them all day or the past couple of days.

This is also important because it also prevents you from becoming too attached and needy. Meaning to say doing this will prevent your from becoming too needy and dependent on the other person. In essence what I'm trying to say, is that you still need to remember yourself and your own life. You still have your own things to do and you still have a fulfilling life even if he is not their beside you all the time.

Growth: I was saving the best for last. For a relationship to maintain its greatness, it has to grow. N the people within it have to grow together. It does not work if one person grows and the other person remains the same. That is usually the reason why most people do break up. In order to grow the people within that relationship have to have a common goal or something that they are striving for together. Some of the best marriages that I have seen are couples who are supporting each other in attainment of their dreams. Without this kind of direction and growth the relationship gets stale and unfufilling. Its great if people within the relationship can support and inspire each other in achieving each of their own or common goals.

With that being said. In answer to the second part of that question "what does it take to achieve that success?" Well i would have to say it takes a couple of things. At first it takes maturity, self love and respect. This is will get you into a relationship that is worthwhile. In order to maintain that then you will need, communication, patience, unconditionally love, self sacrifice, undying trust, empathy and the belief that this wonderful relationship that you have created is something that you well and truly deserve.

Just how do you love that special someone in your life? It's not an easy one to answer is it? It seems most relationships are so difficult to get right on an ongoing basis, and why? It's because we don't always know the right 'language' to speak our love in -- and our best love isn't always received the way we intended it either.

The Love Languages[1] are fivefold. The basic theory is we never ascribe to only one language -- we're 'multilingual,' so to speak, and so is our partner. But, we do have preferences and it's as much an exercise in getting to know ourselves and our partner as it is to start practicing the techniques of the Love Languages.

What "languages" do you speak fluently? Here they are:......

1. Words of Affirmation

If you or your partner like to be commended and praised, and get a buzz out of motivating and encouraging others or each other, words of affirmation is a language you speak. You or your partner are probably quite susceptible to criticism though.

2. Quality Time

If you or your partner are 'people' people and enjoy spending time around others and feeling connected, then you're quality timers. You like to be involved in things, and being part of the team. You or your partner are inclined to become lonely without quality time with special people. You'd invest all your energy, and lots of time, in your relationships.

3. Receiving Gifts

You might even feel guilty personally, or think your partner selfish for speaking this love language proficiently. The truth is that wanting to receive (or give) gifts is as valid a language as the others. Presents and "freebies" are you or your partner's thing. Don't forget to give the gift of yourself though. You probably enjoy your birthday more than some other people who don't value gifts as much.

4. Acts of Service i.e. helping

Some get a huge kick out of helping or being helped. If you or your partner are into "helps" then actions will speak far louder than words. You'll also feel a sense of achievement and significance when you've completed work. Punctuality and diligence are important to you or your partner if this language is a preference.

5. Physical Touch

Like a hug? Those who speak the physical touch love language well can't survive without them. They enjoy close personal space. If this is you or your partner, you don't mind a bit of fun rough-housing, and the giving and receiving of massage is a favourite. You'd also especially appreciate eye contact in conversation, and smiles from those who greet you. Hugs, pats, and playful nudges are your lot.

Everyone speaks several languages, though in different combinations and in varying strengths. If you want some real fire and passion and intimacy in your relationship you'd do far worse than learn and apply the love languages of your partner -- customising your love to suit their needs. It doesn't get more special than that!

It is not the words spoken that affect relationships, but the impact of those words on our feelings. Every word spoken and every body movement influences our relationship. The words can be inspiring, motivating, or loving. Body movements can be a head nod of agreement or a hug. Words can also be biting, humiliating, or disparaging accompanied by such body movements as hands on the hips or crossed arms. Each one of these actions evokes an emotion. So what determines the type of reaction to words and body movements? It is the relationship between the sender and receiver of a message and the value of the relationship between the two. The value of a relationship is directly related to what can be gained or lost in the relationship. It could be love, money, power, information or the relationship itself.

A friend makes a sarcastic remark that is really bothersome. If addressed, it will lead to a heated discussion like the last time where hurtful words were exchanged. So as not to risk the loss or change in the relationship, nothing is said. Your boss tells you that your work on the project was less than expected. You say nothing because your merit raise is due and saying the wrong thing may jeopardize that raise which is desperately needed. A co-worker tells the project manager you were the reason the project was not completed on time. You choose not to address the co-worker because they have kept you in the information loop at work and you choose not to be out of that loop......

Each of these examples demonstrates some sort of value in keeping the present relationship intact. There is a fear that the relationship will change or be lost and the consequences of that change or loss is too great for whatever reason. Now, if we do not value a relationship (nothing to lose), we easily and quickly let our dissatisfaction be known. A co-worker that you do not respect gives you the stare. The salesperson acts like it is an effort to help you. Since there is nothing to be lost in these relationships, we say what is on our mind with no fear of consequences for speaking out or displaying a negative posture.

There is a price to pay, however, for not addressing negative messages in a valued relationship. That price is the relationship is going to change anyway, some day! Why you ask? As the number of negative incidences increases, there is a point that the tolerance for those incidences will decrease leading to one of two responses. Either we will explode which is the aggressive response or we will retreat from the relationship which is the passive response. Either way, the relationship is forever changed. Even if the change in the relationship is minute, it is never exactly the way it was.

So, how do we address destructive conversations and still preserve the valued relationship? We have constructive conversations! Constructive conversations have several tenets that need to be understood and implemented in order to disarm the negative and support the positive. The choices we make in our response to positive or negative conversations directly impact the relationship.

The first tenet is to have a critical conversation when we need to address situations that have a negative affect on our feelings. We know from the start that conversation is going to be difficult, but failure to address the situation is worse than not addressing it. Your significant other is always ridiculing you and if the situation is not addressed, there is going to be major fallout with collateral damage. The discussion that follows will be less painful than continuing to accept the ridicule. Having a critical conversation is a comparative ratio of having or not having the conversation, but not having it can lead to physical ramifications such as stress, insomnia, or loss of appetite. There can also be emotional ramification such as depression, anger, or feeling a loss of control.

The second tenet for a constructive conversation requires us to choose words and a body stance that are neutral allowing us to give and get information rather than attitude. Instead of using words that are inflammatory in a tone an octave higher than normal, with crossed arms and eyebrows close to your hair line, start the conversation with, "There is something that I need to tell you and I hope you will hear me so we can discuss this with out yelling at each other". This opening statement sets the stage and the expectation for having a conversation rather than an argument. If the situation starts to get out of hand, stop it by saying, "I thought we agreed not to yell at each other." If this does not help, you might have to say, "We are not getting anywhere with this, so maybe we need to stop here and come back to it later."

Sometimes conversation become so difficult and emotional for both parties that a "time out" is needed to re-group, re-think and re-feel what is really going on. There are occasions that the issue seems clear, but there are occasions where there is an underlying issue that is being disguised. Depending on the situation being discussed and the relationship between the two, time way from the issue or one another is needed. Time is sometimes the best healer.

Another key tenet to having a constructive conversation is to understand how to manage anger. Angry is a reaction when either an expectation was not met or there was something they did not get! A person that is angry wants two things; 1) to know they are being heard and 2) something is going to be done about it. In a valued relationship, disarming anger occurs when clues are given that we hear and understand (not necessarily agree) and we indicate that we are willing to do something to meet the need or expectation. Keep it positive. Do not list what cannot be done and reason for not being able to do them. Offer ideas or solutions that will help the situation no matter how small; it is the effort that will be appreciated.

The essence of constructive conversations is to remember what part we play in the relationship. We may not be the silent partner. It might be our tone or our body movements that is affecting the relationship. Don't be afraid to admit it!

Relationships are like algebraic equations; what happens on one side affects the other. We know that stuff happens to us all-day. Here is how the chain goes when bad stuff happens. Our attitude sets our emotions that directly affect our responses to others and in turn affects their responses us. Therefore, we have to be in tuned to what we are giving off. Only we can control our choice of responses to people and situations.

When we react negatively to others, we hand over our control or power because we are allowing others to affect our feelings and responses. We virtual hand over ourselves and say manipulate me. Max Depree, noted author, said, "We cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are." If we are in a negative space having destructive conversations, we have to come out of that space to become someone else. Someone who understands the dynamics of the present situation, someone who can orchestrate their environment and make changes for the good, and someone that is willing to put out the effort for change to occur.

Regardless of what side of the algebraic equation we find ourselves, we alone have the capacity to change destructive conversations into constructive ones by following the tenets that support a positive healthy relationship. See, it really is about saving the relationship. Good Luck!

These are the signs of someone who is disinterested or bored.

Tip 5: look out for any seductive movements

These signs reveal the most about a woman's inner thoughts. She is also most likely doing these consciously, so you catch sight of any of these, count yourself lucky! Is she stroking her leg or chest, is she subtly revealing parts of her body to you? Is she dangling one shoe with her feet whilst in a crossed leg position? I was enjoying happy hour with a friend when two well dressed, poor mannered Don Juan's came by our table to mingle. We were good- natured about their interruption. Usually strangers at dinner, or a bar, or on vacation make for good stories on days when we are feeling unattractive. These stories remind us of the days when we have it. It being whatever single attractive men are looking for that we have, but are simply unwilling to share for more than a cocktail. The young men sat with us, ordered martinis and sipped almost femininely. With the scent of their cologne wafting in the air and the clink of thick rings and bracelets hitting their glasses, they raved about their recent trips, ensured us that they would have loved it if we had been in Italy. We smiled at them, and raised our eyebrows at one another. After far too long, they excused themselves to the restrooms. We assumed they would return to pay for their drinks, but after an hour, they still hadn't returned. There was little we could do, so we paid for their drinks and left for the evening.

The next day, I was ranting to a co-worker about the diva dorks, as my girlfriend and I had dubbed them, when I blurted in frustration, "What gives someone the nerve to do such a thing?!" My co-worker informed me that these two cads are what many single men refer to as cougar hunters. 10. You date someone more than fifteen years your junior (I know, double standards stink... we'll come up with a good name for old men and young girls.... How about gorillas?)

11. You wink at the pool boy/ busboy/ any title ending in "boy"

12. You fantasize about the young boys on the O.C or MTV or the Jonas Brothers and you are over thirty.

After the research, I'm not sure how I was mistaken for a cougar. Perhaps it was my newly discovered wrinkle under my right eye. Perhaps it was my high heeled shoes. Perhaps it was my roaming eyes looking for a waiter. I can't be certain, but the mistake was made, and my perspective on aging is considerably less positive today for it. Although, there are worse things a woman could be called, a cougar is certainly not the most positive. I don't want to stifle anyone's sexual preferences (or means of obtaining those preferences) however, I just thought, if this derogatory title was news to me, it might be news to others as well.

So, thirty something and over ladies out there; wear eye cream, drink water, and keep your eyes on your dinner mates, lest you be confused with a prowling feline carnivore.

I think we only use one percent of our brains capacity when it comes to thought processes. Please don't quote me on that since I am not a scientist. So with half a brain you are left with only point five percent capacity. As you can see I really have a grasp on my point five percent.

While information is important it has no practical value unless you apply it. So if all you want to do is use up that point five percent over analyzing stuff then this article is not for you. If you want to achieve anything in this world you will need to take action.

However as we know that is easier said than done. The main reason being of course fear. The notion that you will not succeed or the multiple notions you may have that suggests reasons why you will not succeed. So as you can logically see fear equals no action and fear equals thinking....

I think she will not like me so hence I do nothing. So I go off and read more articles and gather more information and still do nothing because the central problem which is fear has not being addressed.

Insecurity is not an attractive trait and as a result you will not get the woman of your dreams. It's a vicious circle. With that said lets address some facts. There are lots of wonderful beautiful women out there.

According to Wikipedia, The historical background of Valentine's day seems to go back to Christian martyrs named "Valentine" who died while standing up for their religious beliefs. "The first recorded association of Valentine's Day with romantic love is in (a poem) Parlement of Foules (1382) by Geoffrey Chaucer:

So how did Valentine's day go from martyrism to romantic love? That I'm not sure of, but now Valentine's day is all about our feelings toward that special person. However, I can't help think about the martyrs, and how their sacrifices helped to build a strong foundation for the Christian religion. And I can't help think about what gift would last beyond a ring, a car, or a cruise, and therefore have more meaning.....

Janet and I drove through Arcadia, Florida recently. Arcadia is home to many illegal immigrants, living in dilapidated trailers crowded with two, three, maybe more families, and when we drove by, a young woman with a baby in her arms smiled and waved at us, and as I recall this, I can't help wonder what her husband will do for her on Valentine's day.

He probably works for a landscaping company, or a builder, making wages lower than the federal or state minimum wage. No insurance, no worker's compensation, no healthcare. But he can't complain, or he will be reported. He is a slave. You can see him on the back of open landscaping trailers riding with 15 or 20 other men before the sun comes up, and coming home after dark, sometimes in the rain or cold when they cover themselves with plastic garbage bags. He is doing the best he can. He has sacrificed everything to live in fear, for the hopes that his children will have a better life someday. He is a martyr.

And he loves his wife as dearly as any other man does, and he feels bad in his heart that he can't do better for her . . . and Valentine's Day is coming. There will be no cruises or new car for her this year, not even a ring, or a box of candy, or even flowers. It will be just like any other day, as he works in the rain, or the cold, or the relentless sun, on well-to-do people's lawns. He feels no animosity toward them, he only respects them and hopes that someday he will be able to have a place of his own. He has a kind heart.

So what will his gift be to his wife, the most important person in the world to him. What can he give her that would be better than a car, a cruise, or a box of candy? Maybe he has given her the cleverest Valentine's gift of all - his entire life.

Why? I conducted this pheromone review method because the truth of the matter is, that scientific research in this field is still in its infancy, there is no true solid "evidence" that positively comes to a conclusion one way or another! The true analysis one can derive from existing clinical studies on attractant pheromones is, that they "don't know" exactly how humans are affected by pheromones, they currently have sound theories regarding the matter, but not solid scientific proof.

For reasons of brevity I will not go into all ten products contained in my human pheromone reviews, but I will address the top pheromone product, the Scent of Eros....

The Scent of Eros is produced by Stone Independent Research, in collaboration with James Vaughn Kohl the author of the book by the same name. The Scent of Eros fragrance line is one of the oldest in the pheromone industry, they have been in business since the beginning of it all!

I ordered ten small gel packs of the Scent of Eros for my testing method, and applied a full gel pack, as you would an aftershave product, during the given testing periods.

The smell of the Scent of Eros is very pleasant, both pleasing to the wearer and to others around the wearer. The pheromone product drys very quickly as if you had applied a moisturizer, and seems to last from anywhere between 6-8 hours.

The responses I observed while wearing the Scent of Eros were always very positive, from males and females alike, which is definitely worth mentioning. This attractant pheromone is designed to "enhance ones natural appeal," with the affect of making those around the wearer noticeably more "friendly" and "chatty." It is a perfectly safe product to wear in the workplace, as the smell is pleasant, and the overall affects are more conducive to an office environment, so long as you are ok with more attention, as you will get "noticed."

I quickly observed a prime example of the Scent of Eros' effectiveness during a one-on-one sales meeting I had with the purchasing manager at another company. I met in her office to negotiate a new contract on behalf of my employer. This purchasing manager is in her mid to late twenties, married, quite attractive, and is very energetic and quick witted.

Prior to walking into the meeting I had applied a Scent of Eros gel pack. I was not able to observe any response from this manager until after about 2-3 minutes had passed..and then it clearly hit her.

This fast talking quick witted purchasing manager, become noticeably more relaxed, at ease, and friendly with me. She also responded by slowing down in her speech and volume, she started was speaking very quietly, which is not her normal behavior while negotiating a contract!

As time went on during this meeting I observed her leaning forward in her chair towards me, with intense interest in what I had to say. Amusingly, she was not nearly as quick witted as normal, she seemed to become more, "distracted," unable to find paper work she had misplaced on her desk, nor remember what she had just said in regards to the business we were discussing. In short, she was completely relaxed, at ease, and distracted from the business at hand, behavior which for her, is completely "out of character!"

As I had to utilize my laptop computer for information during this meeting, I kept noticing out of the corner of my eye that this young lady was intensely staring at me, at my facial area, as I looked down at my computer. She clearly did not think I noticed her looking at me, as she would look away when I looked up from my screen.

The day in which these results were observed, I had only used the Scent of Eros attractant pheromone, and no other products. As I would soon learn these results would become rather typical, with certain pheromone products.

It is important to mention that during my real life testing, I purposely attempted to remain neutral in my behavior, so as not to skew the results. In short, if a person shows interest, I would show none in return, I would be mister all business. This method allowed me to determine that it was in fact the purchasing manager's behavior that changed, and not my own, with the only wild card factor being that of The Scent of Eros in this particular case.

In closing, while conducting my various human pheromone reviews, I really don't know how these products do the voodoo they do, but I do know what I am able to observe and document.

With Valentine's Day on the horizon, thoughts about finding a sweetheart pop into almost every single woman's mind. As a dating coach, so many clients ask me where the best places are to meet men. Surprisingly, this is often not the first step on the road to finding love. I gingerly explain that while it may seem knowing the hot spots is the answer to their single circumstance, that may not be the whole truth.

There is a step before meeting prospects that is actually more important. The question becomes not where to meet new men, but instead - WHO are you when you meet them?

In other words, what is your attitude and mindset when you look for love? Too frequently women go out with the scars of past hurt and ex lovers written all over them. Perhaps you've had a run of bad dates or you haven't been out in years. If that's true, there are three basic areas that could use attention to be the most attractive you can be....

1) Are You Emotionally Available?

- When you carry a torch for a lost love, or remain angry from love gone wrong, this drags your energy and attitude down. You cannot be your most alluring when carrying baggage. Here are a few ways to check that baggage and free yourself up for a new relationship:

- Light a candle and say a prayer. Asking for help from a higher power can be such a blessing and support for releasing history. Ask to let go of what no longer serves you and sever any remaining emotional ties.

- Visualize removing any imaginary strings of attachment that might still be connecting you to a past love. Watch these strings dissolve or cut yourself loose. Then imagine healing the places on your body where the attachments occurred.

Flirting is an art that can be easily learned. Basic elements include, brief eye-contact, followed by a smile, before gracefully looking away. Fear of intimacy: If a woman is afraid of intimacy, she subconsciously knows she can avoid it with a bad boy, since she can never get close enough to him to have to go there. A nice guy will eventually want a commitment, and that's scary.

Low self-esteem: We don't feel comfortable with people who treat us better than we treat ourselves. If you don't think much of yourself, the bad boy is simply reinforcing your negative belief. A nice guy is treating you in a way you're unfamiliar with.

Sex: Women feel a nice guy won't be good in bed. They like to be manhandled sometimes and think a nice guy won't be able to take control and get the job done. A bad boy comes across as being able to get the job done, even though that may not always be the case.

Hot: Have you ever seen a bad boy who wasn't hot? I'm sure there are a few, but they wouldn't be able to get away with half the stuff they did if they didn't look so good. Meanwhile, when a woman describes someone as a nice guy, she means, "He's not hot".

Charm: Nice guys don't always know what to say, and are sometimes at a loss for words. Bad boys can be very charming and know exactly what women want to hear. However, they eventually switch over to being selfish. By the time they reveal their true colors, the woman has fallen for them and has a hard time letting go.

Protection: Historically, men have protected women - physically and otherwise. Bad boys give the illusion of being able to protect women, while with nice guys, women aren't so sure.

Life is about balance. Most men fall into either the bad boy or the nice guy category. The ideal man is neither, but walks that fine line between the two. Until men learn how to do this, more often than not, women will choose the bad boy.

Look at pictures of 50 Cent with women...and who do you thinks reality is it? His reality or the girl he's with? She is happy just to be 'near him' and even if you take away the celebrity of men like this, if they still have a strong reality, they will still have hot women in their life.

I've said before that there is still hope for the average American man who really understands natural attraction (without having to be termed as a player or seducer); in fact you can live the lifestyle of your dreams while also giving women what they are looking for. Of course our women bring a lot of great value and excitement to life (why men fall for them in the first place), but I'm looking at the other side because men are feeling a lot of confusion when dealing with independent women.

Women are dying to finally meet a man who can just be someone who does not put up with her drama or puts and keeps her on a pedestal......

Unfortunately because it has become so much a part of who she is, it works out for the both of you to have a short-term relationship. Otherwise her natural independence and diva like behavior will automatically infiltrate your lifestyle and create a shaky and unstable ground because that is where her reality is based off of.

Of course women will say that they want the attention and to be put on a pedestal; this is only because this is her perception of reality and what our society has programmed her to be.

The 40 year old virgins that we have are a result or byproduct of everything that is going on (which I go in detail in my book as the 'forced reality'). This is a blatant slap in the face to the continuance and existence of all humankind. It is a very serious problem, even though we may laugh at it at the theater.

Okay the guys of us who of 'got some' may laugh at the theater but we may all actually know some guys who do not know how to be successful if women. This is NOT natural at all, I believe these men DO know how to perpetuate and go through the process of natural attraction in order to procreate; but all of this cultural junk and garbage has gotten in the way.

The pervasive 'forced reality' which is perceptual (yet so real) has covered what women want. Women still want a man to be a man (and this is just as real). Unfortunately the effects of feminism encourage men to be 'sensitive' towards women. This may stop most men from trying to be 'dominant' towards them.

You see all these ads with women biting men or men at their heels or service; this is part of the whole problem; but nothing has changed what women want underneath. In fact they want a man to be a man more than EVER. How do you give women what they want? Read my book 'Mens' Guide to Women'.

In this age of political correctness and women’s liberation these women are more than likely wreaking vengeance on the spineless men of the net as vengeance for the absence of men approaching them off of it.

I have come to verify that experiences on the internet aren’t too different for the women either. However, there’s one caveat for the fairer sex: the men that these ladies hope to and do attract are so desperate for attention and anything else on offer that they are willing to jump through every hoop which the women put in front of them so that they can have the chance to be with these women - and these hoops are in no short supply!!! These men are willing to pander (virtually and really) to these women’s’ every need, and numerous net-women have to practically fight these characters off with a stick.

Some examples of this are like telling them such things as the kind of things they should do in the photographs and the style of photo that they should supply in order to obtain “special consideration.” Even though the ones that they themselves have on show are often generic. As well as cross-examining these men akin to a prosecutor to an accused – all to eventually declare a mistrial.

For this, special consideration, these men are rewarded by the women in due course neither showing up for meetings, nor returning email and calls and similar things, and maybe some verbal abuse, if they are lucky.

Some of the women seem like the perfect women who you really would want to meet and introduce to mother but then you realise that you have been more or less automatically eliminated as soon you read the profile. Now that’s honesty, but what are you then supposed to do run away with your tail between your legs or stick around, call the bluff, face the challenge and try to convince her otherwise? And suppose you do in the most unlikely event convince her, what about the fundamental point that never would have worked in the first place.

Then they are the ones that you never hear from and those are the high-quality ones. I know a single friend of mine whose phone was always ringing off the hook with calls from these women but he meets few of them and has never got past first base as he would wish with any of them. We figured out it was because he was giving these women too much “special consideration” on his web space and profile. After he ceased that desperate practice all this has started to change.

Look, the internet can be and is a fun place to meet women, and it seems like this will remain so for quite some time, however it is helpful not to take the women who you meet on the there too seriously, that is until you get personally to know them. Additionally the odds are and can be - stacked in your favour away from the modem.

One thing that men must remember: is that on the internet it is easy for any man to “approach” any woman and tell her anything. But it takes a special man to actually approach a woman on in person.

ALWAYS look your best. I know this sounds REALLY obvious but you'd be surprised by how many men don't understand the importance of this simple tip. Others have suffered strokes and non-fatal heart attacks as a direct result of using Viagra. Facial flushing where the blood vessels to the face dilate causing redness, is also considered to be quite common.

Viagra can leave men unable to achieve erections without its use, thus creating life-long Dependence! That’s a million dollar question! Dating your coworker or boss, someone you see at least five days a week, eight hours or more a day, why not? Well, that depends if dating your coworker will create problems in the workplace for you. Probably not a good idea to date your boss, this could cause problems for you down the line.

Imagine, you’re in the company cafeteria talking to your coworker that you date. Sally and John just walked into the cafeteria and they immediately start staring and whispering to themselves about the both of you. You know they’re talking about you because they look in your direction continuously while they whisper.

You and the coworker you date, feel very uncomfortable with Sally and John’’s reaction to you having lunch together. You think to yourselves that it may have been a mistake for you to have lunch together in the cafeteria where you work.

You’re now going to be the topic of your other coworkers conversation you believe, thanks to Sally and John who are known in the workplace as the king and queen of gossiping at your job. Both of you now wonder if the two of you should be dating and what were you thinking when you decided to have lunch together in the company’s cafeteria.....

What type of problems could dating your coworker or maybe your boss cause? This is key in keeping the work place rumor mill to a minimum on having information about you and your coworker dating.

Only you will know if dating your coworker or boss will be a good idea for you. If you don’t believe this will cause a problem, then go for it! There are many people that have found their soul mates in the workplace. So do what makes you happy, after all you are in control of your own destiny and love life.

How To Meet Someone At The Grocery Store

Funny thing about today’s topic. The concept is one of the oldest, most overwrought stereotypes in the dating world. Yet, how many people (other than Vinnie) do you know who actually have met someone at the grocery store? Have you?

Would you like to?

As promised, today we’re going to talk all about how to turn the local supermarket into your dating playground…or at least potentially.

And it’s easier than you think.

No, this isn’t necessarily about “bumping carts” with someone “by accident”. Rest assured there are much better strategies in store than that (pun intended). So, then, let’s get on with it!

1) Inline Flirting

This is the simplest concept, yet completely overlooked by so many. Basically, if you want to meet someone, form your checkout plan with some strategy, will you? Simply get in line behind someone you want to meet, pick up the tabloid in front of you and make conversation about it. For some odd reason, this is like magic when performed by a guy. Women seem to be entranced by that sort of thing, and to have a guy actually start a conversation about it really is irresistible to a woman. And don’t completely rule out flirting with the one who is behind the register, either. One of life’s joys for me is when a woman at a cash register asks me for my credit card or (God help her) my phone number. Whichever it is, it’s “way too soon in the relationship for that” or “I don’t know you well enough”. Believe it or not, my fiancée Emily still deals with this sort of banter out of me regularly…and still giggles when it happens.

2) Have You Tried This?

Step One: Position yourself considering the same shelf full of items as someone you want to meet.
Step Two: Find a particularly interesting product.
Step Three: Ask, “Have you tried this?”
Step four: Expect a one-word answer.
Step Five: Respond by briefly describing some creative use you might have for it.
Step Six: Continue conversation with intrigued new friend.
Step Seven: Etc…

3) Veggie Tales

This is really a variation on the second bullet point above, but I want to make sure everyone understands how virtually foolproof it is to start a conversation. Hit the produce section. Find someone you want to meet. Ask either: 1) “What’s the best way to pick one of these?” or 2) “Do you have any secrets for cooking these?” People love being asked for expert advice. Men love doing so because, well, we’re men, and women will find it endearing that a guy is interested in cooking. Don’t act helpless here guys, just interested.

4) Bean Stalk

This one is my personal favorite, and the true “secret” of this article. At a grocery store you have a perfect scenario for meeting someone that is built in by design. Everyone goes up one aisle and down the other when they are there on serious business. If you notice someone you would like to meet is doing a week’s worth of shopping like you are, simply (and this is about as simple as it gets) start at the opposite end of the aisle as they are, but work the aisles in the same order. In doing so, you will pass this person every single time you go to the next aisle. Hopefully you get what I’m talking about here without me having to draw a diagram, because I’m lousy at that. Maybe you’ll completely ignore the person on the first aisle. On the second aisle, possibly some eye contact and a smile. On the third aisle (exactly), stop and say, “Look, I barely know you and you are already stalking me.” Another perfectly good option is to ask, “So are you going to follow me around all day or are you going to introduce yourself?” Be sure to laugh (or at least smile) after you say this so as to make it perfectly clear you are kidding. Either way, playing upon the fact that the other person is already interested in you is almost always effective. From there, make a friend.

5) Timing

I would plan my supermarket ventures in the early evening (after work) or on a Saturday in the late morning to early afternoon time frame. Consider the demographics involved and it’s easy to understand how the ratios of single people are going to be better then. This isn’t to say that it’s impossible to meet people during the day on Tuesday, but the odds aren’t quite as good.

If you are a “night person”, try shopping at 2 am if you have a 24-hour supermarket. You might meet your soulmate. He or she is probably stocking shelves.

Here’s a quick note regarding what not to do. Ever notice that you don’t seem to get the choice of “paper or plastic” anymore? Just because all the bags are “plastic” doesn’t mean YOU have to be. One of the major scenarios to avoid is trying to be too, um…”overly helpful”. Guys please don’t chase women around the parking lot offering to “load their groceries” or even to return their cart for them. You might as well pour the milk you just bought onto some toast and contemplate how that relates to this situation.

That said, starting conversation at the supermarket really is incredibly easy. Once you try it, you’ll wonder what took you so long. All too often we limit ourselves by thinking that bars, clubs and other “designated” places are the only “appropriate” venues for meeting someone. The truth is you are more likely to meet a high quality human being and have a great conversation with him or her when you both are in your “natural habitat” and free of loud noises and obnoxious distractions (e.g. a hundred other people trying to “pick up” someone).

An informal poll I’ve taken suggests that most single adults would truly enjoy being approached with interest at the grocery store or similar shopping situation. So, how about giving it a try this week?
